My name is Darrell Berntsen. I am from Old Harbor, AK on Kodiak Island. I am Aleut, Norwegian and Russian. I have a BA from UAA and a Masters in Public Administration from Northern Colorado. I am a administrator, coach and father of seven kids. When I am not at school, I am busy with my children. This is my twelfth year at College Gate. Prior to that I was an Assistant Principal for two years at Ptarmigan, Chinook and Russian Jack. I was also a teacher at North Star Elementary for nine years before moving into administration. I look forward to serving you and your student or students in our wonderful learning community.
